Distance Learning: Papercraft Manu
Rocking Tītipounamu
You will need:
light cardboard (like a cereal box)
circular saucer or bowl (for body of bird)
scissors
paper
something for colouring - coloured pencils, pastels, felts, crayons or paints
gluestick or sellotape
Here is a video that show you how to put the pieces of the manu together:
Curly Bird
Below is a video that shows you how to make a curly bird. It takes a bit of patience but I know you can do it!
I used a ruler to draw the small lengths of paper onto an A4 piece of paper before cutting them out. You could do the same or just use what you have at home.
I also didn’t have enough coloured paper at home so I used coloured pencils to decorate white paper.
Post pictures of your finished birds onto Seesaw, I’d love to see them!
Extra Ideas
Below are some links to YouTube videos of some other bird papercraft ideas. Remember that you can change the activity to suit the materials you have at home. And to suit the ideas that you have yourself! Share your creations on Seesaw, I’d love to see what you make.
