Funny Friendly Fish
Deanne’s class visited me in the art room to make cute little fishbowls for this year’s Calendar Art fundraiser. Later on in the year families have the opportunity to order cards, diaries, sketchbook and calendars with their child’s beautiful artwork on it. The students were super busy today creating all of the different elements for the artworks.
The students spent the morning creating the painted paper elements for their artworks. They painted paper with blue and white for the fishbowl. Next the students painted paper for the tablecloth and wallpaper.
They painted the first piece of paper with their choice of blue or green and then stamped circles with bottle caps. Next they painted a yellow piece of paper with red paint. The students used paint scrapers to scratch away the red to make patterns.
Finally the students made their fishbowls. They layered the blue paper onto white paper and added the drawing of their wonderfully creative fish into the bowl. They then put all of the pieces together to make their final composition. The students were so excited to see how their final artworks turned out, and rightly so - their artworks are delightful!
